Sharing the Story of Heirloom Cacao Preservation
Conexión Founder Jenny Samaniego will be a panelist in the upcoming Fine Chocolate Industry Association (FCIA) discussion on Heirloom Cacao Preservation on March 11th, 2021. Jenny is honored to be joining other industry experts Matt Caputo of Caputo's Market & Deli, Jacob Marlin of Bfree, and Anne Zaczek of The Heirloom Cacao Preservation Fund. Listen in to this enlightening panel to learn about the conservation and reforestation of rare and ancient cacao varieties and how we engage local communities to identify and propagate cacao trees distinctly known for their floral and fruity notes, a criteria for the "heirloom" designation. This important work ensures the longevity of heirloom cacao from Ecuador for future generations, for all the world to enjoy. Registration is open until March 9, so sign up soon!
You can support the global preservation of heirloom cacao by supporting The Heirloom Cacao Preservation Fund, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and by purchasing chocolate that is made from 100% heirloom cacao. And of course, Conexión offers a variety of couverture and chocolate bars made with 100% Arriba Nacional Heirloom Cacao!
